TideFest is a new River Thames event which took place for the first time last year on World Rivers Day to highlight the recreational importance of the Thames to Londoners. Activities on offer included paddleboarding and kayak taster sessions, river boat trips, guided walks and visits to nature reserves and to some of the Tidal Thames islands. TideFest is now part of the month long Totally Thames Festival and is sponsored by Thames Water and Thames Tideway Tunnel. Other partners include: Active 360, Angling Trust, Brentford FC Community Sports Trusts, Edge Paddling, Get Hooked on Fishing, London Wildlife Trust, River Thames Society, RSPB, Strand on the Green Association, Strand on the Green Sailing Club, Thames 21, Thames Tunnel Now, Thames Anglers Conservancy, Port of London Authority and the Environment Agency.
Many thanks to Sean for his photos of the anglers on the Barnes section of the match.
